Gen X Perspective
Brand FAQ – 20 Questions & Answers
Tony Randazzo Portfolio

1. What makes Gen X Perspective different from other UGC creators?
Gen X Perspective gives brands access to something that can be surprisingly difficult to find in UGC: an
authentic Gen X male voice.
I’m 53, comfortable on camera, and bring decades of real-world experience as a business owner, educator,
traveler, and consumer. My content is designed to feel natural and relatable rather than like someone
reading an advertisement.
For brands trying to reach Gen X and mature consumers with credibility, I can speak to that audience as
part of it, not as someone trying to imitate it.

2. What types of UGC content do you create?
I create short-form vertical content for organic social media and paid advertising, including talking-head and
testimonial-style videos, product demonstrations, unboxings, problem/solution and direct-response
concepts, lifestyle UGC, voiceover and B-roll content, scripted and semi-scripted videos, multiple hooks and
calls to action, raw footage and B-roll packages, and podcast-style or longer-form content.
Content can be created around an existing brand brief or developed collaboratively from the initial concept.

3. Do you only create content for Gen X audiences?
Not at all.
Gen X is my strongest differentiator, but it isn’t a limitation. I create content for brands targeting adults
across a much broader demographic.
Where I become particularly valuable is when a brand needs an experienced male creator who feels
credible, conversational, and comfortable talking about products people actually spend money on.

4. What types of brands and products are the best fit?
I work especially well with lifestyle, technology, travel, apparel, grooming, wellness, outdoor, home, tools,
food and beverage, and consumer-product brands.
I also have access to a variety of environments and equipment that allow me to create content that feels
considerably more natural than simply standing in front of a blank wall holding a product.
If I genuinely believe I can represent the product and its customer well, there’s probably a good story we
can build around it.

5. Can you work from our script or creative brief?
Absolutely.
I can deliver a provided script as written, work from talking points, or take a broader creative brief and
develop the concept myself.
If something in a script doesn’t sound natural coming from me, I’ll flag it and suggest an alternative while
protecting the message and objective behind the original creative.
The goal is content that accomplishes what the brand needs without sounding like I’m reading something
somebody handed me five minutes earlier.

6. Do you provide both edited videos and raw footage?
Yes.
Projects can include fully edited, ready-to-publish videos, raw footage, B-roll, or a combination of all three.
I can also provide alternate hooks, calls to action, and additional variations so brands have more creative
assets to test without producing an entirely new concept each time.
Deliverables are defined before production so everyone knows exactly what’s included.

7. Can your content be used for paid advertising?
Yes.
I create content for both organic use and paid social advertising. Usage rights, duration, platforms, and any
additional licensing are established as part of the project agreement.
If you’re planning to test multiple hooks or variations for paid campaigns, let me know during the brief so we
can structure the shoot efficiently.

8. What does the process of working with you look like?
I try to keep it simple.
We establish the concept, deliverables, usage, timeline, and creative direction before filming. Once the
product and everything needed for production are in hand, I create the content and deliver it for review.
Clear communication matters to me. I’ve spent years running businesses myself, so I understand deadlines,
expectations, and the fact that nobody wants to chase a creator around wondering where their project went.

9. How quickly can you deliver content?
Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the project, but most standard UGC projects can be
completed within an agreed-upon production window after I receive the product and final creative brief.
If you have a specific campaign launch or deadline, include it when reaching out. If I commit to the timeline,
I’ll build production around it.

10. How do we get started?
Send me a little information about your brand, product, campaign goals, deliverables, timeline, and where
you plan to use the content.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you already have a complete creative
brief, great. If you simply know you need content and think I’d be a good fit, we can start there.
Use the contact form or email me directly, and let’s see what we can create together.

11. Do you develop UGC concepts and scripts, or does the brand need to
provide them?
Both work.
If you already have a proven concept or script, I can work directly from it. If you need creative development,
I can build concepts, hooks, scripts, and calls to action around your product, target customer, and campaign
objective.
I’m also happy working somewhere in between, taking your core messaging and turning it into something
that sounds natural on camera.

12. Can you create multiple hooks or variations for ad testing?
Yes, and I actually encourage it for performance-focused content.
Multiple hooks, calls to action, or variations can be filmed during the same production session, giving your
team additional creative to test without starting an entirely new project.
If testing is part of your strategy, tell me upfront and we can build the deliverables around it.

13. Do you offer revisions?
Yes.
Revision terms are established before the project begins so expectations are clear on both sides.
If I miss something from the agreed-upon brief, I’ll make it right. If the creative direction changes after
filming, we can discuss what is required and determine the best way to handle it.

14. Can you create content that doesn’t feel like an advertisement?
That’s actually one of my primary goals.
People have become exceptionally good at recognizing advertising, particularly when somebody suddenly
begins talking like a product description.
I focus on conversational delivery, believable situations, natural reactions, and storytelling that feels
appropriate to the platform while still communicating the brand’s key message.

15. Are you comfortable creating direct-response and performance-focused
UGC?
Yes.
Authentic doesn’t have to mean directionless.
I can create content around strong hooks, problems and solutions, product benefits, demonstrations,
objections, social proof, and clear calls to action while keeping the delivery conversational.
The objective is to make content people actually want to watch while still giving them a reason to take
action.

16. Can you create content in different locations and environments?
Yes.
Depending on the project, I can shoot in home, office/studio, workshop, garage, outdoor, travel, lifestyle,
and other real-world environments.
Having access to different locations allows the product to exist in an environment where someone would
actually use it instead of every piece of content looking like it was filmed against the same wall.
If your concept requires a particular environment, include that when reaching out.

17. What production equipment do you use?
I can shoot everything from authentic smartphone-style UGC to more polished productions using
professional cameras, lighting, microphones, and studio equipment.
The equipment isn’t the point, though. The creative determines the production style.
Sometimes the right answer is a professional camera and controlled lighting. Sometimes it’s an iPhone,
natural light, and a video that feels like someone simply picked up their phone and started talking.

18. Can you create content for products that need demonstrations or detailed
explanations?
Absolutely.
My background includes years of educating, demonstrating products, working with customers, and running
businesses, so I’m very comfortable explaining how something works without turning the video into an
instruction manual.
For products with specific features or a learning curve, I can combine demonstration, B-roll, voiceover, and
direct-to-camera explanation to make the information easy to understand.

19. Do you work with brands on ongoing or recurring content?
Yes.
I’m available for both individual projects and ongoing brand relationships.
Recurring partnerships can be especially effective because I become more familiar with the product,
customer, messaging, and creative direction over time, allowing us to produce new concepts and variations
more efficiently.
If you’re looking for a consistent creator rather than a one-time video, mention that when reaching out.

20. Why should a brand consider a Gen X creator for its UGC?
Because Gen X isn’t watching from the sidelines.
We’re buying technology, traveling, improving our homes, investing in hobbies, taking care of ourselves,
changing careers, starting businesses, and making purchasing decisions every day.
Yet a tremendous amount of UGC still focuses almost exclusively on younger creators.
For brands whose customers include adults in their 40s, 50s, and beyond, representation matters. Your
customer should occasionally see someone who actually looks, sounds, and lives like them.
That’s where Gen X Perspective comes in.
